Over the weekend, we got a blog comment from Lisa, who was thinking of moving her African Grey parrot to pet friendly Vietnam. She had saw our post about moving parrots to Vietnam, and wanted to know how the move had gone for our other client.
In my communications with her, one of the common themes was that she wanted a community and to be able to reach out to someone in Vietnam -- sometimes, when moving pets internationally, peace of mind is found simply in a friendly face or word of mouth piece of information. Lisa wrote:
I would love to contact the person in Vietnam who has the parrot there, to compare notes and maybe have a friend with a parrot while I'm there. I thought I was the only one in the world who wanted to do this! Is she in Ho Chi Minh City? That's where I'll be.
If you're feeling like you're the only one in the world moving pets, we have some good news: you're not! In fact, odds are, if you're moving with your pet to a foreign country, we've not only moved people there but we've probably moved a similar type of pet to that country. Just look at the example of Lisa and her African Grey parrot going to Vietnam.
That's why we created MyPetMove.com, a social network and online community for people moving with their pets. Whether you're moving ferrets to Cairo (yes, we've done it!), a beta fish to Amsterdam (yup, that too!) or fourteen horses to Honduras (that was a fun one!), odds are you'll be able to find someone on MyPetMove who has been through a similar experience. So sign up today and find out what we mean by "See. Spot. Move."
