Sembawang Animal Quarantine Station: A Picture of George the Labrador

Saturday, September 26, 2009 by Rachel Farris

Meet George, one of our newest "expets!"  He just moved from the San Francisco area to pet friendly Singapore, which is always a busy destination for us!  This picture was taken of George in quarantine at the Sembawang Animal Quarantine Station.

New Singapore pet import rules make it possible to do a ten day quarantine, instead of the previous thirty day quarantine that was required.

Here is what his owners had to say in an email to Jillian, one of our Asia-Pacific specialists:

Hi Jillian,

I have been wanting to send you a note to thank you for all you did for George. He is settling in well and is happy to be back with us. We are now complete with George in our house.

I wanted you to know that I have met a few families with dogs in quarantine and they have all had their dogs in for 30 days. I don't know how you did it, but I think we are one of the first families to have a pet with the 10 day quarantine time. Kudos to you for being so on top of the rules in Singapore. George and the whole family were very thankful that he was only in for such a short time. We really appreciate your efforts on this.

Here is a picture of George in quarantine. I will send you a picture of George with the family soon (haven't had time yet).

Please pass this email to others at your company, so you all know what a great service you have provided us.

THANK YOU!

Anne and George, too
