Here's an unexpected benefit of Twitter: helping find homes for pets! At the end of October, a former client of ours named Meaghan found a Chow puppy abandoned in the bushes in Shenzhen, China. We had moved Meaghan's dog Namie to Shenzhen when she took a teaching job in China teaching 8th graders. When Meaghan unable to keep the puppy permanently because she already had another dog, she reached out to us to see if we could help her find a new home for the puppy.
We posted a blog entry as well as posted photos of the puppy on our Facebook and Twitter page as well as on TwitPets.com.
In less than four hours, we received a direct message on Twitter from a young man in Denton, Texas named Bradley who was looking to adopt a new puppy.
After a few emails and tweets, we were able to connect Meaghan with Bradley and it was a match! Then Meghan hired us to provide door-to-door pet transport services to move the puppy from Shenzhen to Dallas. Oh and in case you're wondering - Bradley named his new puppy "Po!"

That is the cutest dog! It's very unique looking.
