Justice for Dunkin' - A reminder about car travel

Thursday, August 20, 2009 by Rachel Farris

We were forwarded a blog entry today from one of our former customers, Cynthia, whose min-pin we pet transport moved to pet friendly London.  You can see pictures of them here.

The blog that Cynthia sent us is also about a min-Pin, but does not have a happy ending.  A pet owner was driving with her service dog, when she was detained by police.  The story is heartbreaking and a good reminder of why pets should always be either in seatbelts or crates when traveling in a car.

I am the victim of this story.  The car rental agency put me in a car that was registered as a stolen vehicle.  Dunkin' would have looked for me regardless of a car seat.  He saw me leave the vehicle and needed to know where I was.  No seat would have held a service animal while their companion is missing and he can still smell her in the air.  I appreciate you passing this link to everyone you know.

If you are on FaceBook, you can search for the "causes" page which is growing in popularity.  Enter Justice for Dunkin' in the search bar.  You can also add me as a friend.  Search for my name Rosamaria Sagastume.

Thank you.
