Martha Stewart's Pet Adoption Site

Wednesday, July 29, 2009 by Rachel Farris

We came across a great feature on Martha Stewart's pet friendly section today (which, by the way, we cannot get enough of!).  It's an interactive search engine to help users find pets to adopt in their area.

A quick search for dogs in the Austin area (just looking!  I promise!) returned several at Austin's Town Lake Animal Shelter.  Martha Stewart's site even pulls up the details on the pets when you click on their names -- the pet's likes and dislikes, as well as name, breed and approximate age.

Check out this sweet old puppy we found. Hm...maybe I'm not "just looking" after all!

29 July 2009 - Update:  We heard from Mark Ganem in the comments below, who is the Editor of Martha Stewart's Pets section. He wanted to make sure our readers knew that this adoption feature was brought to Martha Stewart's site through a valuable partnership with AdoptAPet.com.  It's great to see these two companies working together - for the good of our four-legged friends!

Thanks for the wonderful write-up! I should point out that this service is in collaboration with AdoptAPet.com, who has been an amazing partner.
