Question: Hi, I have three cats that I wish to bring with me from Dallas to Ireland within the next 6 months. I am aware of the need to go to my vet and get paper work and Euro Micro Chip but can you tell me how I actually arrange to fly them over? What airlines do this and at what cost? Thanks.
Hello Cathy,
Thank you for your inquiry. Our pricing depends on many variables when arranging a pet move to Ireland, including your cats' weights, crate sizes, export documentation, etc. If you'd like a quote, please fill out our Pet Move Quote Request Form.
Typically we use Continental via Belfast when flying pets to Ireland due to limitations flying into Dublin with pets. Please click here for a list of the requirements for moving a pet to Ireland.
We hope this answers your question!

Hello, you have bad information on your page dealing with the requirements to bring pets into the republic of Ireland, Your page says "All animals relocating to Ireland are sent through Belfast under the United Kingdom’s Pets Passport Scheme and driven across the border into Ireland. This is due to the fact that animals flying directly into Dublin (the only approved airport for entry into Ireland) are exposed to a minimum of three days quarantine until all paperwork is verified and all vet checks completed." This is totally wrong, we fly a couple of times a year with our three terriers directly into Dublin with our dogs on the same plane and we pick them up at the Vets at Lissenhall 8 miles away from the airport a few hours later. We have been doing this for years and the most we ever waited was 4 hours. It may be time for you to update your info.
Hi Von,
Thanks for your comment. You might be right that pets can enter Dublin directly and avoid the three days quarantine. However, pets technically are subject to a three-day quarantine so we want to make sure people know it's a possiblity.
Also, pets must be arriving with their owners on the plane (i.e. pets cannot arrive unaccompanied). Most of our clients are not traveling with their pets, so this scenario can be difficult.
However, we have edited our Ireland requirements to reflect this so it will be clearer for future pet owners visiting our site.
Cheers!
